Business Development Executive

The role

Volume’s Business Development Executive (BDE) will generate new business opportunities by following a proven process to prospect for new business accounts. You’ll learn highly valuable skills, initiating contact with target accounts as well as creating sophisticated email and telephone campaigns.

In time, the BDE will conduct high-level conversations with senior executives about their business and discuss the customer-experience challenges they face in a fast-paced digital world.

Key skills and responsibilities:

  • Learning and executing proven processes to generate new sales opportunities

  • Having the ability to write well-constructed, succinct emails (and having a great phone manner)

  • Strategising with top-producing salespeople

  • Mapping prospective accounts around organisational structure, people and existing technology

  • Engaging with executives in targeted prospect accounts

  • Orchestrating discussions with senior executives around their business needs

  • Managing and maintaining a pipeline of interested prospects, hitting key monthly and quarterly metrics

  • Leveraging CRM tools to prospect into specific geographic territories and sectors

  • Proactively developing your own industry knowledge by reading trade publications and industry insights

  • Advising and helping the rest of the team where needed

  • Being an ambassador for Volume AI at all times

What we need from you

The successful candidate will be a strongly self-motivated and entrepreneurial individual who is process-oriented, creative, methodical and tenacious. They’ll need to be self-sufficient but also work effectively within a team.

To be considered, you’ll need to have demonstrated success in a customer-service and/or sales environment and be driven to kick-start your sales career with Volume AI.
